ui::InsetWell

Header: winui/ui/themes/Theme.hpp.

A recessed well inside an indicator's border, as in Aero's check box and radio button. Their 13x13 glyphs have five layers, and the border and the flat fill are only the outer two. rim fills the shape inset in from the outer edge and fill the shape a pixel further in, so the rim shows as a 1px ring around the fill. With the default inset the rim covers (2.5, 2.5, w-5, h-5) and the fill (3, 3, w-6, h-6). Both layers are filled, since their gradients run diagonally and only fills follow GradientAxis. draw_control_chrome draws the well square, for the check box, and RadioButton draws the same two layers round.

Field Type Default
rim LinearGradientBrush The outer layer, filling the shape inset in from the indicator's edge.
fill std::optional<LinearGradientBrush> The inner layer. Empty where the era skips it: a disabled Aero box keeps the rim and drops the fill.
inset float 2.0f DIPs from the indicator's outer edge to the rim. The fill starts one pixel further in.
